“As a management consultant I advised Arthur in his position as CEO of ChoiceMaker Technologies.
Arthur sought and listened to my advice, clearly identified the risks and rewards with each opportunity. His astute decisions helped him act decisively in the best interest of the firm. I've seen him successfully handle many of the challenging management situations that high-tech startups often experience: allocation of limited funding, evaluation of staff capabilities, and coping with under-performing employees. He has made many difficult decisions with grace and with care for his staff.
Arthur is a talented leader who understands how to manage his staff in a manner that enables and encourages them to be productive, for everyone's benefit. He knows how to collaboratively formulate a vision for the firm and clearly communicate it to his team, creating an atmosphere of excitement and opportunity.”

“I have known Arthur since 1998 as a BSc student in his Telecom course at NYU, and have remained a student of his ever since. In 1998, I recall his devotion to education & his novel teaching methods designed to convey & demonstrate complex issues. I was & continue to be struck by the depth & breadth of his knowledge & recall accompanying him either to his office or to his Subway station after the evening class ended in order to further discuss issues raised in the classroom. Since 1998, Arthur has been a friend & a mentor that I greatly value. Our connection exceeds the realm of technology & share a common passion for the sea, travel & innovation. I strongly recommend Arthur as a Professor, business man, technologist & mentor!”

“Arthur guided me carefully and steadily through my PhD research and dissertation at NYU's computer science department.
On the technical side, he introduced me to the fields of data quality and machine learning, and helped me devise the record merging problem which we solved. He's a strong computer scientist, with a deep understanding of algorithms, and software design and development. He provided extensive valuable advice on the research, my software development and testing, and my writing.
Unfortunately, I worked full-time while earning my PhD, so I was not able to devote enough time to NYU. As a result, I ran into many problems, such as exceeding the CS department's time limit. Nevertheless, Arthur never gave up on me. He obtained two extensions of the department's time limit, he recommended that I take a leave … from work — and paid me at NYU during [it], … Without his conviction that I would graduate and his steady support, I'm certain that I wouldn't have earned my PhD. In sum, Arthur's a great person to work with.”

“I met Arthur when we worked together in a whole-cell modelling group in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at Mount Sinai. We worked on predicting how genotype influences phenotype in living cells by creating models that comprehensively simulate the dynamics of biochemical activities inside individual cells. This work required mathematical analysis, large-scale data acquisition, and software design and development.
Arthur contributed extensively to the ideas, software, models and publications that our lab developed.
He leveraged his deep experience and expertise in computer science and software development to enhance and systematize our software development practices, thereby greatly improving our productivity and the quality of the software we produced.
He also took on an informal role as an advisor and coach to junior members of our lab, including myself. He would patiently and respectfully answer our questions, which made us better researchers, and software designers and developers.
I also found Arthur to be a creative, dedicated and productive Professor of Genetics. He led the development and delivery of a new master's course on Biomedical Software Engineering in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. He also developed and ran a Capstone Projects course which gave MS students the opportunity to design and develop software for the leading research labs run by genetics faculty. These projects provided his students with valuable real-world experiences that prepared them for the job market and connected them to influential Mount Sinai faculty.
If your organization faces software development challenges or seeks to better educate your students, then I am confident that Arthur can help you.”

“In addition to teaching me academic subjects at New York University, what makes me feel that Arthur is a great professor is his restless effort in bridging us young, inexperienced students with the forefront of society and the business world. Thank you, Arthur!”

I have known Arthur since early childhood. He excelled as a student, particularly in math and science, always worked hard, and had a zest to learn. As adults, we have been politically active together, and Arthur has brought dedication, enthusiasm, an analytical approach, and determination, just as he brought to his studies decades ago. He has been a loyal and dependable friend that I’ve been lucky enough to know so long. I know that he’ll bring his skills and dedication to his consulting work, just as he has to his other life missions and goals.

“During research work, I witnessed Arthur’s exceptional abilities as both computer scientist and software engineer. His theoretical insights perfectly match his awareness of engineering constraints, while his ability to concentrate scarce resources on the current task considering, at the same time, time/schedule ramifications is simply superb.
Arthur has a nice personality and is a great person to work with.”
